Where do the tree seeds and seedlings ship from?
GiveTreeGifts.com works in partnership with nurseries and suppliers in both Canada and the U.S. 

What name will appear on my credit card statement?
The company name is Joanne M Wotherspoon, which will appear on your credit card statement. GiveTreeGifts.com is the domain name of the website and, as such, will not appear on your credit card statement.

Why doesn't the checkout ask for my payment information?
We do not collect payment on this website. Upon receiving your order, we review the information to help ensure accuracy of information, availability of product, and finalize the shipping costs. This ensures that you pay only the actual cost of shipping and handling for your order.  We then submit an email invoice to you for payment via a secure payment page. What methods of payment do you accept?

Will you ship to an address other than my billing address?
For your protection against fraudulent transactions, we do not ship to addresses that do not match your billing address.  The only exception to this rule would be our Gift Boxed Trees & Bushes

Can you ship to a PO Box?
A physical address is preferred; however, for those of you who do not receive mail delivery to your door, please Contact Us to make special arrangements for shipping. 

Which countries do you ship to?
We are pleased to offer green gifting solutions to Canada and the U.S.  Some of our products are available in both Canada and the U.S., while others are available only within Canada, or only within the U.S.  Refer to the individual product descriptions for clarification.  Please see our Shipping/Delivery Policy for complete details.

Can you leave my tree order at my door?
Someone must be at the delivery address to accept and sign for your order. They will not be left at an address unattended. This enables us to properly track your order and ensure that it is received in excellent condition. Please refer to our Shipping/Delivery Policy for complete information.

Are there taxes on your products?
Any applicable taxes are not included in the posted prices. All Canadian orders are subject to GST/HST. GST is also applicable to shipping charges.  Please be aware that rates for GST/HST do change from time to time, so this will be reflected in your total order amount.    If you are a non-resident of Canada, and are a GST/HST registrant, please indicate this in the comments box, when completing your order or, drop us a line via our Contact Us page.  In addition, orders originating in Saskatchewan will be subject to PST.

What if I need to cancel my order?
Should you have to cancel your order, we require a minimum of 3 weeks notice, prior to the event date, for order cancellations.  If the order has begun the processing stage, but has not been completed, order cancellation may result in a cancellation fee of $50.  Please contact us with your complete order information.

How soon do I need to place my order to guarantee delivery?
As a general rule, we require 4 weeks lead time; however, we do try to accommodate last minute orders, as long as we can guarantee the shipment will arrive in time for the event. Please feel free to contact us, regarding orders requiring a quick turnaround

Do you offer special pricing for orders above 5000 units?
Absolutely! Please submit your information through our Contact Us page, and we will be happy to provide you with a quote for larger quantities.

How is my order shipped?
We use a variety of shipping methods, in order to offer efficient, flexible, and affordable delivery of our products.  This would include postal couriers, such as FedEx as well as UPS.

When is my order delivered?
You should receive your trees 5 days to 1 week before your event. Even if you order months in advance, we time it so that your order will arrive at the appropriate time. When we send out decorated trees, you should receive them on a Tuesday or a Wednesday (assuming a weekend wedding). Kits and tree seedlings only, should be received one week before the wedding. The courier delivers them to your door so we must have an address where someone will be there to accept and sign for them. Orders will not be left, if no one is there to receive them.

How long will the trees last before being planted?
After being watered and put into their plastic bags the trees should be good for about 2 weeks. If you order decorated seedlings keep the trees closed in the box until the day of the wedding. If you order a kit or seedlings only, we will include instructions on watering the trees before they are wrapped. We suggest that the trees not be wrapped until as close to the wedding as possible. This will give your guests as much time as possible to plant them. If the trees are given in winter, they may be planted into small pots until outdoor conditions are suitable for planting.

Please note that, if you are ordering tree seedlings as bare plugs, they must be either planted or placed in plastic bags, immediately upon receipt.  This will ensure that they remain healthy.

How big will the mature trees get?
The mature size of the trees can vary, due to soil, moisture, and temperature conditions; however, to learn more about trees, our Tree Species page provides some valuable information, which will help you make an informed decision.
